Happy 2nd Year Anniversary Trulyzipporah!
Happy 2nd Year Birthday to my baby. This blog and @zipporahb was created on January 20th, 2017. I created this blog, literally, as soon as I hanged up the phone on my HR Manager after I quit my job. At that time, I was scared after quitting my job without a back up. I didn’t know what to do, what’s next. All I knew was I should start doing what I love now, focus on it and hope for the best. I was certain that blogging and being a content creator will only be my hobby for a loooong while. But I was always positive that I will succeed no matter how long it will take.
Blogging was not all butterflies and sunshine for me. I struggled and of course still hitting bumps on the road. There were times that I got discourage on doing what I love after I kept getting rejected at job interviews. I was lost for months and lost hopes for myself. But despite of all the struggles, I found myself back to where I belong and stronger than ever.
With all that being said, I will forever be grateful for my Husband whose supported my journey on the very first day. When I quit my job and told him I will try to make a living out of a blog, instead of him saying to get a real secured job, he never once said any negative thoughts about it. Instead he bought me an iMac so I can write and edit photos properly for my blog. He bought me camera and all other gears that I will need to create a great content. He respects my brand. I know this because whenever I need his help on taking photos for content, he makes sure that I get a good one, he makes sure that the details are to the T and even takes me to places so I can have a great content and subject to blog about. In this industry or any other industry you’re in, I learned that in able to be successful, you need to surround yourself with people that will support you all the way and understands what and why you love what you do.
In two years, I am very proud that I have achieved a lot for my baby. I have come a long way. My baby have opened a lot of wonderful opportunities for me that I will forever be grateful for including landing a job as a Social Media Marketing Assistant that I love and enjoy. I only hope to continue on this journey and continue to grow and improve for more years to come.
