One Pot Penne

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE COOKING but if there's one thing I don't like when cooking, it's the hassle of cleaning especially on a busy week night. But thank goodnessΒ for Barilla's New NO-Boil, NO-Drain Pasta, it saves me the hassle of washing another dish. Another thing I love about this pasta is it cooks so fast, your food will be ready in just 15 minutes. So, today, for my first Food entry post, I thought I'd share one of my favorite pasta recipes that I'm sure you and your family would love. WHAT YOU WILL NEED: 1 Box of Barilla's Pronto Penne Pasta 1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese 2 tbsp of butter 2 tbsp of olive oil 1/2 lb of lean ground beef 2 cups of whole milk 2 cups of beef stock 1 tbsp of garlic 1/2 cup of chopped onions 1/2 cup of mushroom Optional: Chopped Parsley INSTRUCTION: Heat up your medium pot and add in your lean ground beef. Once ground beef is cooked, set aside on a plate. On the same pot, add in your butter, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onions, and mushroom, add salt and pepper to taste. Sautee all ingredients together until everything is soft. Add in your ground beef and sautee all together for about 3 minutes. Add the Barrilla's Pronto Pasta, 2 cups of beef stock and 2 cups of milk and stir. Once done cover your pot for 8 minutes and stir to avoid burning the bottom. Check your pasta if it's soft enough for your liking. Add in your parmesan cheese. Once parmesan cheese is melted let it set for another 5 minutes and voila! Done.
